The mission of ESU #9 is to provide collaborative leadership, support and services for the improvement of teaching and learning.

The Special Services department provides contracted services to school districts and students throughout the ESU #9 area.  Services and regional programs are provided to children between the ages of 0-21 who are eligible for special education when verified with a disability according to state guidelines.

In addition to providing direct services and regional programs, the Special Services department provides staff development training, supports state wide special projects, and develops programs and services at the request of school districts.
